Private House, remodelling extension

This Arts and Crafts-style house in the Highgate Conservation Area was extended with a filly-glazed conservatory- cold in the winter and too bright and hot to use in the summer months.

RWA proposed a reconfiguration of the ground floor, including a side extension, which replaced the conservatory with something more environmentally stable, which at the same time connected the living spaces much more strongly with the garden beyond. The architecture picjed up on the colour and matewrial of the existing house but expressed them in a contemporary way.
