Private House, Sustainable retro-fit and extension

This Metroland-style 1940s house in the Highgate Conservation Area has been partly remodelled so that the original rooms retain their original generous proportions but also allow for a new spacious and airy loft conversion.

The back of the house has been extended and internally reworked to take best advantage of the large garden behind, which slopes upwards away from the house. The verdant outlook is the focus most of the family living space.

The entire house has been thermally retrofitted so that an air source heat pump can provide its heating and hot water.
