Mixed Use Residential, Commercial and Retail

Located in the historic centre of Riga, Latvia, the project was designed to provide housing and associated facilities to serve the city’s numerous HE institutions. The ground floor was given over to community facilities and as part of the project a new public plaza was created, designed to be a vibrant and active arena used throughout the year by locals and students alike. The public plaza contrasts with the more introspective and intimate inner courtyard – a cloistered private court for the residents. The project provided for more than 500 students and was won in an open international architectural competition.

The project was led by the RWA team whilst working at MJP Architects.
